Soap Offerings

We offer several soaps all based on the same exceptional recipe. The only difference is the scent. Our oatmeal soaps are the same recipe, but with oatmeal added for its conditioning and exfoliating qualities. We try to keep the Web site updated with all available soaps, but feel free to call if you're looking for something different.

We don't scent our soaps very strongly, and restrict our scenting agents to essential oils or actual spices. There is enough scent to enjoy during your shower, but not so much that you smell like a bar of soap all day. Below is a listing of the scents and our attempt to describe them.

Ingredient and bar size information.

	Cedar Sage: $2.85 You will love our wonderful blend of cedarwood and sage, with a hint of genuine sweetgrass.

	Gardener: $2.85 per bar This bar exfoliates with pumice and is great for revitalizing weary hands after the dirty work. A strong scent combination of lime, basil and tea tree essential oils also helps eliminate odors from handling pungent foods.

	Geranium: $2.85 per bar Geranium is a widely-used and historic essential oil, traditionally noted for a variety of aromatherapy benefits, and is commonly used for perfume. This bar offers a very light, floral scent.

	Lavender: $2.85 per bar This is our most popular soap - it's a very refreshing and pleasing scent for any season.

	Patchouli: $2.85 per bar This scent is reminiscent of the common incense of the 1960s and 1970s. People seem to love it or hate it, and the musty scent is distinctive to most people.

	Peppermint: $2.85 per bar What a great morning wake up call! The peppermint offers a light, refreshing fragrance, and can also help with some odor removal. This soap is especially refreshing in hot weather, but also nice during the cool seasons. We add some crushed mint leaves to this bar for some extra mint boost.

	Rosemary: $2.85 per bar The rosemary bar offers a very penetrating and refreshing scent of the great herb. This soap is not as fragrant as fresh rosemary, but a lovely reminder of the herb garden.

	Spruce: $2.85 per bar - Spruce is our "woodsy" soap scent, emitting a hearty reminder of the woods of Northern Minnesota and one of our favorite lake: Lake Superior. This is one of our more popular bars, especially among our male customer base.

	Oatmeal Tangerine: $2.85 per bar or Tangerine Clove: $2.85 per bar This is our favorite bar, combining a lightly sweet citrus scent balanced with a hint of the deeper clove bud oil. This bar is so popular that we offer with and without oatmeal. The oatmeal offers a nice scrub, as well as some extra conditioning.

	Unscented: ~~$2.85~~ SALE $2.70 per bar or Oatmeal (unscented): ~~$2.85~~ SALE $2.70 per bar A great bar for people who just want it plain and simple, or who are sensitive to scenting agents. Keep in mind that the soap has it's own smell from the oils, so it's not completely without scent. Available in regular or oatmeal.

ingredients
We use several oils in the soap. The main ones are palm oil, olive oil and coconut oil. We also add cocoa butter and castor oil for conditioning. Sodium hydroxide and water are used to create a hydroxide salt solution. This solution reacts with the oils to produce soap, and is neutralized before the soap is sold.

bar size
The bars are all hand-cut, so they vary slightly in size. Each bar weighs about 4 ounces. They are roughly 3.25" by 2.5" by 1" thick, and fit well into an adult-size hand. Edges are beveled.
